1. How much does the application cost?

University Route
(UCAS)

UCAS charges £20 for an application received with a single choice / course and £25 for an application with multiple choices/ courses.

A flat fee of £25 fee is applicable for any application submitted after the end of June, with single choice / course or multiple choices/ courses applied through the clearing process.

Should you choose to withdraw your application within 14 days from receiving the UCAS welcome mail, your fees will be refunded.

Novelwall Route

Free registration and processing for British or European students and a fee of $100 for international students.

Should you choose to withdraw your application within 14 days from registration, your fees will be refunded.

This processing fee does not include any application fees charged by certain universities. However, our partnered institutions exempt students from these application fees.


2. When is the best time to apply?

 

University Route
(UCAS)

To have more success in securing your offer, it is always best to know the UCAS deadlines. For Oxford and Cambridge universities, including most courses in medicine, veterinary, medicine/science and dentistry, it is mid of October and for all other courses, it is mid of January.

For all decisions received by end of March, responses are expected by the beginning of May and for all decisions received by beginning of May, responses are expected by beginning of June.

Any applications submitted after end of June, will enter the clearing process, opening in the beginning of July and decisions due by Mid July. All responses are expected before the end of the month for to secure the places for the academic year.

Novelwall Route

We process applications for both undergraduate and post graduate students across multiple intakes per year. But it is highly recommended to apply at the earliest in order to secure a placement. Any late submissions, may get an offer but if placements are limited, the offer will be differed to the next available intake.


3. How many times should I redraft my personal statement?

University Route
(UCAS)

This can be up to 28 weeks, as above, a decision can be made at any time up until May, the following year.

In terms of hearing back about an interview, this will vary depending on the university and course.

If you do not hear back from the universities, you may contact them after a minimum processing time.

Novelwall Route

4. When is the soonest/latest I will receive an offer?

 

University Route
(UCAS)

Receiving your offer through UCAS depends on the type of course , institution you have applied for and the dates by which your application was submitted. 

For Oxford and Cambridge universities, including most courses in medicine, veterinary, medicine/science and dentistry, decision to be expected within 22 weeks

For all other applications, decision to be expected within 15 – 20 weeks from submission.

If your application is processed under clearing, decision to be expected within 6-8 weeks from submission.

Time frames may subject to change depending on institution or admissions process

Receiving your offer through Novelwall depends on the type of course , institution you have applied for and the dates by which your application was submitted. 

Most of our partnered institutions do not require a UCAS application and accepts direct applications from both undergraduate and postgraduate students. 

If you are required to submit a UCAS application, our admissions team will support you throughout the process.

If you apply for one of our partnered institutions, an offer may be as quick as 2 days or can take a maximum of 2 weeks subject to submission of a completed application or portfolio.

Time frames may subject to change depending on institution or admissions process.


5. When will I hear from courses I applied to before the October deadline? Shouldn’t I have already heard?

6. How to track my application?

You can track your application by logging into your UCAS account using your unique UCAS ID, and the password created.

You will receive an email notification with every offer or update sent by a university.

7. Many of my friends already have offers – does that mean there are fewer places left for me?

 

University Route
(UCAS)

Receiving your offer through UCAS depends on the type of course , institution you have applied for and the dates by which your application was submitted.

Universities may make decisions at different points throughout the year, so if some friends have already had offers it doesn’t mean that an offer wouldn’t be made to you at a later date such as in clearing.

Many universities makes more offers than there are places available because not all offers get accepted. This can be for various reasons such as conditions of offers not being met, offers being accepted as an insurance choice or offers being declined by applicants.

But it is highly recommended to apply at the earliest in order to secure a placement in your chosen institute or course.

Novelwall Route

If you are applying for one of our partnered institutes for an undergraduate or postgraduate programme, you will be able to secure a placement in your chosen institute or course based on the strength of your portfolio or application.

Our partnered institutions may have multiple intakes every year and all our students are guaranteed an offer subject to passing through the admissions process.

Our admissions team or your dedicated case worker will submit your application to multiple institutions based on your choices but applying at the earliest is always recommended.

If we are not able to secure you an offer, we will refund any fees charged for registration and processing.

If you received an offer but was not able to secure your placement, your will be offered to defer your application to the next available intake.


8. Can I still change my choices if I’ve applied?

 

University Route
(UCAS)

Yes. You can substitute a choice up to 14 days from the date of submitting your application by logging into UCAS.

Any changes after this may require you to either contact UCAS or your institute of choice.

Novelwall Route

Yes. You can substitute a choice up to 14 days from the date of submitting your application to one of our partnered institutions.

You can do this by contacting your dedicated case worker or the admissions team. 

Any changes after this may be approved subject to course placements being available in a specific intake or until a decision has been made for the applications submitted


9. What if my CV needs updating?

 

University Route
(UCAS)

You are not required to provide or upload a CV when applying through UCAS.

However, you will be required to provide details of any employment with the duration and references as part of the application process.

Novelwall Route

This service is absolutely free for all our registered students.


10. What if the course has lots of pending applicants ahead of me, and I may miss out?

 

University Route
(UCAS)

You may be able to still secure place during the clearing process if your application has been submitted after end of June, in an academic year.

Any applications after, may be deferred to the next academic year.

But it is highly recommended to apply at the earliest in order to secure a placement in your chosen institute or course.

Novelwall Route

With multiple intakes every year, most of our students secure an offer, subject to passing through the admissions process.

If you met the entry criteria, but we were not able to secure an offer, any registration fee charged will be fully refunded back to you.

If you received an offer but was not able to secure your placement, you will be offered to defer your application to the next available intake.
